About the project

What is PARQ?

Parksen is an easy-to-use Green, Smart and Connected City platform that is accessible via a public API and runs entirely on the existing Parksen Parking Cloud. Using the Ethereum Blockchain, IOTA Tangle and our own PARQ Utility Tokens, we will offer a Variety of solutions and smart contracts that directly benefit a wide range of stakeholders in urban metropolitan areas and smaller cities.

The PARQ team wants to use an open and universal ledger to record and map data that gives us a picture of important bottlenecks in urban areas. With this information, we can continuously improve traffic flow, reduce carbon monoxide emissions and traffic jams, and replace and renew outdated technologies, investing in intelligent parking solutions through IoT (Internet of Things) devices, green field appliances, a real-time parking app, and universal dashboards.

The challenges ahead

OUTDATED SYSTEMS - A big and global problem is that cities, businesses and garages use different software and hardware. Due to the lack of cooperation between the various parties, many parking lots remain unused and the workload for developers, maintenance staff and administrators is unnecessarily high. The lack of modern equipment such as Internet of Things devices, universal software systems, and clear communication is directly contributing to increased congestion and frustration among drivers as well as to erratic prices.

LOSS OF TIME AND MONEY - As mentioned in the introduction, the biggest problem for motorists is currently finding and overpaying parking lots. Not knowing where to find available seats, the inability to select and reserve them in advance, and the steady increase in urban traffic jams cost a lot of time and money.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS - According to a British study from 2017 named "Tackling Pollution and Congestion" [2] by Professor David Begg and Claire Haigh, bottlenecks have increased in all major UK cities. When traffic jams occur, the exhaust emissions are four times higher than with a smooth traffic flow. In addition, congestion has led to a reduction in traffic speed, which in turn leads to more emission and health problems. Compared to Sweden, people in Britain are 64 times more likely to die from air pollution than twice the US

PARQ solution

Our platform was developed with the intention of drastically improving outdated and old city infrastructures. The goal is to optimize everyday activities for those in the middle of bustling cities. To prove beyond doubt the necessity of our platform, we will test it by tackling the problems of the parking and transportation industry. First, we will redesign and expand our "Minimum Viable Product" (MVP): the Parksen Parking application. New features include real-time traffic information, traffic jams and, most importantly, a guidance system that helps drivers find the nearest and cheapest parking spots nearby.

Below, we will provide clear, universal APIs and dashboards for businesses, parking garages, communities, maintenance workers, emergency services, and consumers. By offering everyone the same service that runs entirely on the Parksen Parking Cloud, we ensure that all parties involved can exclude middlemen who increase their margins, thus guaranteeing reasonable and affordable prices across the board. These APIs and dashboards connect to a variety of Smart City solutions that focus heavily on IoT integrations and smart car technology. The collection of traffic-related data enables our app and platform to provide our users with a constant stream of accurate and real-time roadside situations, while local governments and communities can use the data to combat congestion for more

Real Time Park App - The Parksen Park app is designed for motorists, allowing them to reserve and pay for parking ahead of time, which limits their search and emotional compulsion. The app also shows you the fastest route to your destination and provides real-time information about local bottlenecks.

Cloud Solution - Parksen's goal is to connect communities and businesses with consumers and garages. With a unified, easy-to-deploy and cloud-based platform, all of which are suitable for the application, we ensure that these institutions do not rely on expensive software and hardware updates from third-party vendors.

Green, Smart & Connected City Platform - The Parksen City Platform has a universal dashboard that monitors congestion, pollution, use and condition of parking, and the status of connected IoT devices and sensors. This includes a marketplace for green and smart devices.

The PARQ token - The Parksen's own token used in the app to pay for and receive parking activity payments, and in the dashboard and marketplace to pay and receive payments
